Regulatory Guidelines

A student seeking admission to any class in LIS will be eligible for admission to that Class only if he/she:

  • Fulfils the norms and guidelines of the recognizing/affiliating bodies.
  • Has been studying in a School recognized by or affiliated to CBSE or any other recognized Board of Secondary Education in India.
  • Has passed qualifying or equivalent qualifying examination making him / her eligible for admission to that Class
  • Satisfies the requirements of age limits (minimum and maximum) as determined by the Gujarat State
  • Produces
    • The School Leaving Certificate/Transfer Certificate signed by the Head of the Institution last attended and countersigned
    • Document(s) in support of his having passed the qualifying or equivalent qualifying examination.
    • Date of Birth Certificate issued by the Registrar of Birth and Deaths, wherever existing, as proof of date of birth.

Admission Procedure

Admission takes place in the month of January/March/April/June every year as per the guidelines of the recognizing and affiliating bodies. Only children aged 6 and above are admitted to the School Hostels. All students seeking admission in various classes are required to get their names registered for admission by filling in the application for registration and admission.

  • The following documents should be attached with the application for registration and admission:
    • Four passport sized photographs of the child
    • Two passport sized photographs of parents
    • Proof of Residence
    • Proof of date of Birth 
    • Progress Report (for classes I onwards)
    • Mark sheet of the qualifying examination
    • School Leaving Certificate from the school last attended (for classes I onwards)
    • Migration Certificate for students getting admission in Class XI
  • The merit of the student as per the guidelines issued is the sole criterion of selection.
  • Once the child is selected, parents should deposit the fee within stipulated period.
  • Admission becomes final when the candidate has successfully faced the written test and an interview and scored 50% and more; the documents produced are found in order and all fees are paid.

Rule Regarding Payment of Fees

  • Fee for an academic session should be deposited half yearly in the months of April and October.
  • Fee must be deposited by the 10th of relevant month of the half-year.
  • The fee should be paid on all working days from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon by Cash/Cheque/Draft.
  • A late fee of Rs. 100/- per day will be levied up to the relevant month of the half-year.
  • If the fee is not paid up to the relevant month of the half-year the name of the student will be struck off the school rolls.
  • If the name of a student is struck off due to non-payment of dues or on account of his / her absence without leave for seven consecutive days, his/her re-admission entirely depends on the discretion of the Principal and availability of seat.
  • If re-admission is allowed, the child will have to pay re-admission fee and the arrears due.

Document to Be Submitted

  1. 3 recent passport size colour Photograph of Student
  2. 1 recent passport size colour Photograph each of Father & Mother
  3. Photocopy of Birth Certificate self attested by parents (Bring original for verification only). Certificate issued by Municipal Corporation only is valid.
  4. Photo copy of Caste Certificate (Applicable if SC/ST/OBC. Bring original for verification only)
  5. Bonafide Certificate of current school (Original), compulsory at the time of registration (Classes NUR to IX)
  6. Transfer Certificate of Current school (Original) must be submitted within 15 days after the commencement of the academic session.
  7. Progress Report / Mark sheet of previous term or mid-term (Bring original for verification only)
  8. Medical Fitness Certificate of student issued by MBBS/MD Doctor (Original)
  9. Photo copy of Aadhar Card of Student and both Parents, self attested. (Bring original for verification only)
  10. Photo copy of PAN Card / Driving License / Passport of both the parents, self attested, is mandatory for signature verification on admission form.
  11. In case of death of any one parent, copy of Death Certificate is mandatory.
  12. In case of separation, copy of court custody papers is mandatory.
  13. In case of single parent, legal documents certifying the same are mandatory.

Kindly ensure to fill in the name of the student / Father’s name / Mother’s name as it will appear on the T.C of the previous school.
