History
Since the last few decades there has been a paramount urgency in the Umbergaon region of Gujarat for an efficacious centre of quality education. Seizing this clarion call Smt. Shantaben Haribhai Gajera Charitable Trust, Surat conceptualized a dream and started LAXMI INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL in Laxmi Vidyapeeth, Sarigam and has been nourishing this temple of learning since June 2007.
The 120 acres of land for the campus looked like a forest with trees & bushy growths and cut off from the main stream population. Soon the magical touch of the dedicated management and strong leadership, the vast land started turning out to be an igniting educational campus attracting the imagination of people around Sarigam.
The first phase of the school housed classes Nursery to 5 in 2007. The growth was phenomenal. Students from all around Sarigam such as Daman, Vapi, Silvassa, Bhilad, Umergoan and the interiors were all admitted and getting admission in LIS became a prestigious factor for parents.
The second phase marked at the beginning of the secondary section from class VI to X. And the third phase took place as a part of natural growth in 2010-11 with classes 11th Science and commerce.
LIS has been the one of the first few schools to have achieved NABET accreditation by Quality Council of India. The school also had also received ISO accreditation.
Today we are proud to have more than 2500 active students and 200 dynamic members of the staff making the campus vibrant.
