Grandparents Day Celebration

“Nobody can do for little children what Grandparents do. Grandparents sort of sprinkle stardust over the lives of little children.” —Alex Haley

A Salute to our Roots’

Grandparents are the family’s greatest treasure, the founders of a loving legacy, the greatest storytellers, and the keepers of tradition. Grandparents are the family’s strongest foundation. Through their special love and care, grandparents keep a family close to heart.

To honor them, Laxmi
International School, Sarigam celebrated Grandparents Day on Saturday, 14th September 2024. Principal of LIS KG addressed the gathering and reiterated the role of Grandparents in all our lives, as Grandparents are “A little bit of parents, a little bit of teacher and a little bit of friend”.
Life is a carnival you wait in long lines to enjoy the taste of various food items but it’s that moment that makes you feel alive”

It gives much needed break from studies and gives the students an opportunity to indulge in different activities with their grandparents, keeping this in consideration, a Funfair was organized on the occasion of Grandparents Day.

Everyone enjoyed the various appetizing and savoury dishes like spicy bhelpuri, vada pav, pakodas, pastries and tea biscuits. The little tots of Pre primary came up with scintillating performances as they danced to the melodious tunes of songs based on the themes of grandparents.  The performances by students left the spectators spellbound and thoroughly mesmerized. Different games were arranged considering their age. The day stared with warm up dance by the grandparents. Followed by prayer song and lamp lightning.

The Grandparents appreciated and shared their views on the LIS’s effort to make a connection between the generations through these events. Grandparents whole heartedly participated in the events organized by the School like the Art & craft, games like- Feed the clown, Toss the ring, Bangles arranging and many more. Indeed the 2024 Grandparents Day was a memorable moment for our Grandparents and our School.
