Festindia-2024: A Celebration of India’s Culture and Talent at Laxmi International School
On December 28, 2024, Laxmi International School, managed by the Shri Shantaben Haribhai Gajera Trust, hosted a grand cultural event, Festindia-2024. This remarkable evening was a celebration of India’s rich heritage and the immense talent of its students.
A Tribute to Indian Culture
The event, which began at 5:00 PM, was a visual and cultural treat designed to foster appreciation for India’s diversity. It opened with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony and a heartfelt prayer, setting the stage for a memorable evening.
Showcasing Student Creativity
Students from various school clubs—including Photography, Science, Social Studies, Mathematics, Drawing, Dance, and Business—put forth creative displays and innovative projects. These showcased their skills, hard work, and dedication to excellence.
Folk Dances: Students from Grades 1 to 5 performed enchanting folk dances representing different Indian states, bringing alive the vibrant traditions of the nation.
Thematic Projects: Students from Grades 6 to 12 presented compelling projects that highlighted India’s linguistic diversity, traditional attires, religious richness, and iconic tourist destinations.
The event also featured a range of games and food stalls, offering attendees entertainment and delicious treats to complement the cultural experience.

The event drew an impressive crowd of approximately 4,000 parents and guests, who marveled at the students’ efforts and the vivid representation of India’s heritage. The combination of cultural performances, innovative exhibits, and a lively atmosphere left the audience in awe.

The event was graced by the honorable Member of Parliament from Daman and Diu, Shri Umeshbhai Babubhai Patel, as the chief guest. His presence elevated the occasion, and he praised the students’ creativity and the organizers’ dedication to promoting cultural values.

The success of Festindia-2024 was a result of collective effort and unwavering support from the school’s trustees, Shri Chunibhai Gajera and Ms. Kinjalben Gajera, as well as the visionary leadership of the Principal, Mr. Praveenbhai Pawar.
