Objective of the Educator Development program
1) Awareness of the role of educator member.
2) Seek new better technique in learning progress.
3) Doing justice to the profession.
The main aim of this research is to develop a teacher development program in order to enhance learning competency, utilizing research and development process. Since teacher’s competencies have the potential to impact on student’s learning, therefore teachers have to develop themselves in order to excel and augment their competencies in learning management and teacher empowerment, consequently will lead to students’ effective learning.
The resource person for the day was Mrs Reshu Nigam. Reshu maam has 15 years of rich and extensive experience in the areas of training and teaching. She is a highly skilled teacher trainer has extensive knowledge of the latest and most effective teaching methods and a great sense of design and development of training modules with inordinate skills of good presentation and communication.
The day started with some activities to gear up the educators for the whole day session. Reshu Madam explained in details about phonics, different rules in English, the reading and writing skills through different activities.
That was followed by a lunch break. 2nd session started with Math, how to make it fun for kids, through activities using manipulative. The session ended with discussion on EVS and Hindi.
In order to be a good educator, she said that it is important to have a great organizational skill and empathy for the students. She talked about the necessity of having a good working environment among the faculty members and the importance of working effectively.
