To commemorate its founder, Late Shri Haribhai Gajera a magnificent celebration was held at LIS Pre primary on July 13th, 2024. Founder’s Day is an occasion to express gratitude and value the legacy and to rededicate ourselves to the principles and values the school stands on.
Non fire cooking and best out of waste competitions were organized for the parents and kids to mark this day. The celebrations started with a prayer to seek Lord Ganesha’s blessings followed by the traditional tilak ceremony by the teacher.

The students of LIS Pre Primary along with their parent exhibited their culinary skills in the ‘Cooking without Fire’ activity. It was a delicious sight to watch the little hands chopping and decorating with parent’s instructions. Both participated with full zeal and enthusiasm as they doled out nutritious and delectable delicacies. Through this activity they learnt the spirit of teamwork, culinary skills and appreciated the hard work that goes into cooking. Our learners prepared healthy dishes and yummy lip-smacking items like- Bread ice cream, different types of salads, Fruit salad, healthy Pizza, Dry fruits laddu, and many more easy and quick recipes.

Little hands and mature imagination minds came together in a creative burst of energy during the “Best out of waste” competition. The competition focused on bringing an understanding among the children about preserving the environment by reusing and recycling waste material.
Fabulous ideas were demonstrated using material like newspaper, old CDs, used plastic bottles, ropes, ice cream sticks, bangles etc.
We were glad to see the enthusiastic parents who took out their valuable time and made a special bond with the children helping them in creating and display their creativity. Winners were felicitated with certificates, crowns and chef caps.
