GURUPURNIMA’ is an Indian festival dedicated to spiritual and academic teachers, a day sacred to the memory of the ancient ‘SAGE VYASA’ who wrote Mahabharata on the bank of river Godavari.
The festival of Guru Purnima had celebrated in our department on 18th July 2024. This Guru Purnima, reflect on our life and honor the wisdom that life has offered. It is a day to be grateful. When we see how wisdom has transformed our life, we feel grateful for all that has come our way. Celebrating this feeling of gratitude is Guru Purnima.’ Guru Purnima is a ritualistic celebration marked to respect the guru- the one who leads us to the right path of life. A special assembly was conducted with zeal and enthusiasm.
On guru-Purnima, many students offered gratitude for the profound education they have received under the guidance of teachers.
LIS KG conducted an auspicious Yajna ceremony in the school campus to mark the auspicious day and to seek the prime blessings of the Almighty. Principal and other dignitaries of the campus with all the teachers, admin staff members and marked their presence on this day. ‘Aahutis’ were put in the Havan Kund while chanting the sacred mantras. Religious hymns sung by all the staff members created the ambiance of spirituality in the school. All prayed the God for the smooth functioning of the school. Hence, the Havan ceremony was performed religiously under the divine fervor and spirituality. Prasad was also distributed at the end.
