Library Tour

August 12th is being celebrated as National Library Day in India, in remembrance of national professor of library science Dr S R Ranganathan (1892- 1972), who had spearheaded library development in India.

Through a presentation educators explained the rules and regulations expected to be followed in the library. The pre primary kids were taken to the school library to explore the books and meet the librarian. All the kids were given age appropriate books. Educators explained how to turn the pages and take care of the books. Kids have a habit of scribbling. It was strictly instructed not to do that. Kids enjoyed the exploration and loved the colorful pictures of the books. It was a nice experience to them.

Considering their interest school has decided to have a weekly library period where they can collect the book and next week they can return it back.
