National Doctor’s Day

.July 1st is celebrated as National Doctors Day across the country. The day aims at propagating the work of doctors and also to keep alive the memory of doctors who have devoted their lives doing social service. The idea of this celebration was conceived by Dr. Bindhan Chandra Roy, a physician and political leader who was also the chief minister of West Bengal. Dr. Bindhan Chandra Roy devoted his life in serving the underprivileged and the poor, so doctor’s day was celebrated to mark his birth anniversary on 1st July.

 

.Laxmi International School, Pre primary celebrated this special day with enthusiasm by organizing a dental check up for the students. Oral hygiene is an integral part of one’s good health and hygiene. To enable the kids to maintain the same, dental health check-ups are very essential. In view of the same the school dental health checkup was organized for all the students. The checkup was piloted by the expert dentist dr Harshalsinh Parmar and his team.

The team spoke to the students about the importance of oral and dental care and explained the basics about the possible root causes of the dental and oral health problems. The students were checked thoroughly and the observations were recorded. Students with any cause of concern were advised further consultation with their dentist. The camp was very beneficial for the Gajerians since it not only created awareness about the need to maintain oral hygiene but also helped in identifying any dental problem like cavities, caries, or irregularity of teeth eruption in the students.
