Navratri’ is one
of the most important festivals celebrated to worship goddess ‘DURGA’in nine
different forms. The festival of navratri is celebrated with a lot of joy and
fervor, not only in India, but across the world. For many people,it is a time
for religious reflection wherein people have seen fasting whereas for others,
it is a time for dancing & feasting.

The assembly is
based on highlighting the religious significance of each day of Navratri- a
nine day Hindu festival, woven into a beautiful concept covering the
mythological stories associated with each goddess of nine days of Navratri,
representing the nine forms of Durga Goddess- Shailputri, Brahmacharini,
Chandraghanta, Kushmanda, Skandamata, Katayani, Kalaratri, Mahagauri and Siddhidatri.

Nine colors are
associated to each day of Navratri and designated to each goddess which are-
Orange, White, Red, Royal blue, Yellow, green. Grey and Purple. Wearing the
navratri colors enhances one’s participation in the celebration and brings about
a feeling of oneness. The spirit of Navratri inculcates unity and togetherness
in each other, giving a source of shared joy and happiness.
