The World Environment Day is a global event celebrated each year on June 5 by the United Nation to spread awareness among human beings to understand the importance of our mother planet.One thing we all know for sure is that our big blue beautiful planet Earth is very similar to us! She lives, breathes and ages just like us. She even falls sick like how we humans do. And 90% of the time, it is caused by us. Global Warming, deforestation, pollution are just a few among the long list. So what can we do to help save our planet?
LIS Pre primary Sarigam celebrated “Better Environment, Better Tomorrow” on Wednesday 5th June 2024 on a virtual platform. Parents were requested to make their ward wear Green outfits. The purpose behind the celebration is to sensitizing our kids to develop an understanding of the environmental issues as they will be able to recognize the importance of preservation and protection of environment.
Making our aspiring students become Environmental Warriors can be achieved by giving them a set of real fun and super interesting activities which aids our environment directly. So we have planned some simple DIY activities that our kids had done during online classes with the help of parents as instructed by educators.
Initially the educator talked on Save Earth’s Natural Resources like- Save Water, Save Electricity, save papers and Save Trees.
Later she talked on Waste Management and involved kids to create compost bin by using the food wastes from home.
